For Dinh, philanthropy has been a lifelong passion, so working at a nonprofit organization like TrueCare felt natural for him.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a pretty long story when it comes to philanthropy for me,\u201d said Dinh. \u201cI like to say that I\u2019ve been doing philanthropy my whole life in one way or another with my upbringing. I was active in groups like Rotary Club and Assistance League, so I’ve always been involved in the community. My parents also encouraged me to participate in Boy Scouts.. I\u2019ve done a lot of community service work, and I\u2019ve had the opportunity to volunteer for and run a lot of philanthropy and charity events,\u201d he elaborated.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This passion that began in his childhood continued to play a pivotal role in his life, in college and beyond.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI ran the philanthropy chair in my college fraternity, and before I even graduated from college, I saw the opportunity to work here at TrueCare,\u201d explained Dinh. \u201cI applied here because I was amazed \u2013 I didn\u2019t know people got paid for doing philanthropy. It seemed like a dream come true. I\u2019ve always done it for free and, of course, community service hours,\u201d he joked.<\/span><\/p>\n

For Dinh, working in this field at TrueCare has truly been an incredibly fulfilling experience, and he is grateful to the team at TrueCare for seeing his potential.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt was honestly amazing that I was given this opportunity because, again, I didn\u2019t really have my degree yet,\u201d said Dinh. \u201cBut they saw the passion I had for philanthropy and my experience and community involvement throughout the years. That was enough for them to take a chance on me, and the rest is history. For people applying or preparing for an interview, passion is one of the most important qualities to showcase,\u201d he smiled.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dinh remains incredibly proud of his time at TrueCare, as he said that he has had so many great and memorable events and campaigns with the organization.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAll of our initiatives have been impactful and given me the opportunity to do what I\u2019ve always wanted to do,” Dinh beamed. “It\u2019s a dream career for me.”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For Dinh Bui, the work culture at TrueCare\u2019s San Marcos office is special because it doesn\u2019t feel like a job where people simply clock in and work \u2013 everyone is close.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt feels like a family,\u201d Dinh said. \u201cI know it sounds clich\u00e9, but it\u2019s true. It honestly feels like I have a bunch of new siblings with this team, and the great thing about that is that everyone here offers the same support you would offer your closest family members. If I ever need help, I can count on them, no matter what. Everyone looks out for one another, everyone makes sure everything is handled, and I do the same for them,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dinh says that collaboration doesn\u2019t feel complicated or forced, and because everyone shares the same mission, helping each other, especially with philanthropy events, is very easy. The shared dedication makes teamwork smooth and meaningful.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAt TrueCare, we talk a lot about community,\u201d said Dinh. \u201cOf course, we talk a lot about the community we are helping, but we also talk about the community we have internally. It\u2019s all connected. The strong and connected internal community we have built helps us connect with the communities we have the privilege of helping on a deeper level because it elevates the care we provide,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like the experience and responsibilities I\u2019ve gained through all of the achievements have led to a lot of leadership opportunities,\u201d Dinh smiled. \u201cThese opportunities have been invaluable to my professional development,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

TrueCare also encourages Dinh to think outside the box and bring those ideas to the table.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cInnovation is really valued here, and that\u2019s another great way that I\u2019ve been able to grow,\u201d said Dinh. \u201cI have had a lot of opportunities to try out new ideas and innovate, even if they sound a bit outlandish at times. They still give you the chance to put them into practice and see what happens. That in itself is an important level of recognition and validation,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

The organization also invests in ongoing education, offering access to seminars, educational programs, and connections with nonprofit groups that expand philanthropy knowledge.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019ve done a lot to help me become a better leader,\u201d Dinh said. \u201cThey\u2019ve invested a lot in me, and it makes me feel like they genuinely care about my growth. They invest in my education and encourage me to participate in seminars or other programs to improve my skills and knowledge. You will definitely have a lot of professional development opportunities when you work at an organization like this. You never stop growing or learning working here, which I love,\u201d he explained.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

One unique aspect Dinh cherishes is attending high-level events alongside leaders. These experiences provide invaluable learning opportunities typically reserved for senior executives, further preparing him for future growth.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOne of the great things they let me do is they empower me to get involved when it comes to participating in other programs where other leaders will be attending, like galas by other organizations,\u201d Dinh explained. \u201cThese are nonprofit events that leaders or managers will usually be attending, and it\u2019s an opportunity to learn, view, and observe. I think that\u2019s one of the greatest things about my time here at the organization \u2013 they invest a lot in growth here. I can\u2019t emphasize that enough,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAgain, TrueCare values passion a lot,\u201d Dinh stressed. \u201cPassion surpasses numbers and outshines many other qualifications here. They specifically told me that how I talked about philanthropy and community work was what set me apart \u2013 I made it clear that there was nothing else I\u2019d rather do, and I meant it,\u201d he added.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At TrueCare, having the heart for the mission and the genuine desire to help the community is the greatest predictor of success. Authenticity matters, too, for those in the process of <\/span>preparing for an interview.\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t be afraid to show that you\u2019re passionate about helping the community. You want it to be abundantly clear. Still, you also want to be yourself and let your genuine personality shine,\u201d Dinh said. \u201cAs long as you have the passion and the heart and show it, you\u2019ll be successful here. It\u2019s what helped me be so successful here,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n
